|A city like Lagos has always striven to expand towards the new instead of regenerating the old. In its wake, we are left with hollowed out infrastructure, abandoned building entire industrial zones become eerie dilapidated ghost towns. Whatever happened to Tinapa?
We shape our narratives by first understanding our current and past states of mind, documenting our realities to inform the framework of our future dreams. So we can hopefully move from a ‘managed’ state ‘ to a state of ‘considered engagement’
This series asks photographers to document the realities of these spaces left behind, whose empty corridors and broken windows tell the real story of the things we aspire.
